Hi

Just got my hands on a sweet Beosystem 6500, with a Beomaster 6500, a BeoCord 6500, a Beogram 7000 and a Beogram CD 7000, and it sounds amazing.

The system itself works like a charm, but the Beocord 6500 wont record from any other source in the system? I've tried to unplug everything and plug it back together, when I press the auto rec or manual rec for that matter nothing happens. A little red light shows next to the dolby logo on the display but nothing else? Is this because the other 2 modules are 7000 models? I only got the beocord in order to record my own stuff, so I'm kinda bummed it doesn't work...

In addition to this, when I play 180g records they come in contact with the body of the beogram 7000 so it starts to drag.. I have no clue how to raise the turntable, but it seems awfully low compared to other systems I've seen online. Any advice?

Sincerly

Christian

I'm stupid, you just have to shove some tape in the taps at the top of the cassette, because of course I used prerecorded tapes...

Record protected tapes? (Tabs broken off)
If the tape runs but nothing is recorded, check that the input switch is set to LINE.

180g Records are non-standard.
But your Beogram will play them if you raise the platter level slightly.
Tighten the three adjustment screws at the leaf springs a little (evenly).
They are the same ones you adjusted when you got the Beogram and set it up initially. (See the user manual and put the platter 1mm higher).
