Hi everyone - need some expert help!

I've had my Beovision Eclipse 65 for a number of years now, connected to an Apple TV 4K, and watching Dolby Vision content without any problems. Lately, when watching Dolby Vision content, my picture has been going haywire. It is OK for about 10 minutes or so, and then starts blacking out, before going to static. I've tried changing to a newer cable, but no difference.

I thought it may have been the dreaded HDMI issue on earlier Eclipses, but my dealer says my Sound Centre serial numbers are above the affected units. He then sent me a technical diagram (attached) which suggests that the B&O Eclipse is not even designed to support Dolby Vision directly into the Sound Centre (other than HDR10), and requires direct connection into the TV (bypassing the surround sound audio processing, and whole point of having B&O in the first place!)

Weirdly, my Beovision Eclipse 55 which is a little newer than my 65 is not having any of these issues, plugged into a similar Apple TV 4k.

Has anyone had similar issues - or know what is going on?

Thanks!

-------

UPDATE:

Thanks for the suggestions - finally solved the issue. Previously I had 'Match Content' setting turned off, because it was generating strange sync effects on screen when you move backwards through menus. I guess that has been addressed in subsequent software updates, and as per the attached B&O technical guide, when I reactivated it, it stopped the issue described above.

Maybe obvious question but are you sure it’s not the apple tv? Although the one on the other tv maybe similar, it’s not the same one.

Maybe you can try either another HDMI on the sound center or use the native Netflix app through the remote (assuming you use the ATV for Netflix). You can establish if it is your HDMI, the ATV or the tv itself which is faulty

BV Harmony 65 / Eclipse 55 / BL 50 / 19 / 18 / BS 2 all brass

BV Horizon 48 / V1 40 / BL 17 / Beoplay S3 all black

V1 / BL 3 / BS Essence MKII / Beoplay A3 all white

BS Moment / BS 3000 / BS 3200 / BL 400 all silver

Headphones / bluetooth speakers / BLC NL-ML / BLGateway

I know…B&O virus has grown on me !

Hi Mike,

i have exactly the same issue, thx for sharing your issue and solution.
A few questions;

- I Assume you use the exact settings as desribed in the addendum? Does this mean that you do not activate dolby vision from the atv video setting menu?
- dan you share the complete technical training document? Looks very interesting and I cannot find this in the manual section in beoworld.

thx again and regards,

Dennis
