Dear all,

I have Playmaker MK2 connecting the beolab 8000 with airplay function; When I use beo4 to go next song or previous song, it' s working;

However, when I use Beo4 to increase to decrease the Playmaker, the sound will increase or decrease, but just 1 second after, the sound back to the old level - always old level; Unless, I use the phone to change the volume. Can anyone help on this...?

Many thanks!

Hi,

probably the output is set to a fixed level.

If you listen to the music how much is the volume turned up or down on your iPhone to get a 'normal' volume?

Can you tell me how to set to fixed volume? Then I can reset it. Thanks!

On the Beo4:  (you may need to add A.SETUP and S.STORE to LIST first)

Find A.SETUP in the List and press GO/CENTRE.

> Press LIST until S.STORE is show in the display, and choose one of the following settings, by pressing digits:

no digit = max vol. 78

5 = max vol. 55

7 = max vol. 70

9 = max vol. 90

0 = fixed output level (equal to 78)

> Press GO to store settings

I do the setting to the 7. The mute function is working, but the volume up and down still not. Everything Beo4 increase or decrease the volume, the playmaker will always set to old volume level. How could that happen? Is beo4 not working with airplay?

That's strange.  Does this happen even if you set your phone volume to maximum and then bring it down to the required level with the Beo4?  It sounds like some king of overload protection could be cutting in, but I am not sure whether Powerlink would do that.

The Playmaker installation Guide is quite useful (that's where I got the above advice from).  There doesn't appear to be a copy on the site but I found a copy here: https://docplayer.net/22067554-Playmaker-installation-guide-for-installation-and-setup-of-playmaker-version-1-0.html

If that doesn't work send me a PM and I'll email you a copy.
