Dear Beoworlders,

I would like to ask for help with my Beomaster 4400. BBM4400 was recapped with capacitor kit from Dillen some years ago and played well for long time.

Yesterday suddenly right channel started to hum, humming sound was VERY LOUD irrespecting to volume slide (very low volume set). O. LOAD bulb started to glow and was still glowing when turned on. Today the same situation, after turning on, thunderous hum from one right channel, when I disconnect right speaker, left channel works well, over load still glowing. Thank you for your suggestions.

Check the output stage darlington transistors and also their drivers.
If one or more has blown check the speaker cable, plugs etc. and the speaker itself.

Thanks Dillen,

I turned it off (the plug from wall) for about hour, turned it on after some rest to proof speakers and cables and everithing is fine, no hum at all. Should I go to my BO technician with this issue anyway? Wait for another attack?

Actualisation:

3 minutes after turning on speakers and fine function IT stops playing again, no sound, no hum. I disconnect it from wall and considering to visit my technician.
