Hi

I was given a faulty beocenter 2 and am hoping to get it going.

The unit powers up correctly but it doesn't switch the speakers on. I connected headphones to the unit and no sound either. Surely if the connector box is faulty one would still get sound from the headphone socket? Also when loading a disc the unit does nothing, disc doesn't even spin.... needs a new laser?

Everything else seems to work

Thanks for any tips

Ben

Hi Ben,

Some of the BeoCenter 2s were audio only. Have you tried a CD in it?

Yes I did try a CD... didn't spin the CD.  Just wondering.. if their is no sound from the headphone socket,  that it must mean the head unit is faulty? Socket box surely can't control the headphone socket?
