Hello!
I need help with my Beolab 6000.
I just bought it on Ebay from an English seller who shipped it to my home in Brooklyn
When I first put it together (L and R din cables, power plugs through adapters - EU to US, line input on both sides plugged into my bluetooth receiver, both speakers on the "line" toggle), they both worked quite well and the sound was excellent.
Then I went to sleep and they went red (on standby).
The next day, when I turned the music back on, one speaker worked fine, both speakers had green lights at the bottom, but the other speaker did not work at all. I could hear a feedback sound from the speaker that did not work (meaning the buzzing sound that it makes when it is connected to the line and is on), but no music was coming out of it. Please help! I am desperate and do not want to mail these back :)
I tried everything I could, switched every cable through every combination to diagnose the issue, and found that it was not a problem with any of the cables!

UK - 240V

You may want to try removing both speakers from power, then remove power from your bluetooth receiver. Disconnect the known good speaker from the bluetooth receiver. Then restore power to bluetooth receiver, and then to the questionable speaker, using the converter and outlet from the good speaker. Then test it again with music.
The voltage converters should be plugged into separate outlets if you get to the point where everything is working again.

Thank you for your help! I did that but to no avail.
The speakers are 230 V and I am using an adapter *not transformer* to plug into the US outlet...
I can hear some feedback from the input cable but no music/sound ever.
By adapter do you mean a simple plug adapter from the UK 3 prong plug to a standard US 2 prong plug, or are you using a proper voltage converter to step up from 110 to 220?

very good. Sometimes the line level sensing circuit won't get triggered with a weak signal. Do you have any other source like a TV that you could try? Or, you might want to try just the "bad" speaker by itself without plugging the other unit in.

Can I just use each speaker with a line in, or does it need both line in and powerlink cables?
Line in only, power link is for B&O specific sources. If your bluetooth has RCA outputs, just use those and leave the powerlink unused.
First off all ...
You need step up transformer from 110V to 220V or 120V to 230V.
Just an adapter from an EU 2-prong plug to a US plug is no use to you, as you do not have aenough voltage.
UK voltage is 240V!
Afrer you deal with that issue..you can go on if spekers are not working as it should.
Maybe you have foam rot in speakers that are a piont of problems.
How old are they. Serial no ?
if you have type 6821 from EU, it requires 230 volts. You need a power converter to step up from 110 US to 230 EU. Don't mess around with them until you can get the voltage conversion correct.
