Ok
Here's an interesting one.
I already have a thread on here asking for your help between a bv11 55 or horizon 48. Both used.
The BV11 looks the clear winner.
However,
So I'm in the UK and bv11 55 MK3/4 are approx between £2.2k-£2.7k depending on which auction you are looking at on eBay. Some have sold for £1750-£2000.
My next question would be.
A bv11 as above
OR
An LG C9 55 panel which can be bought in UK for £1300 plus a stage @ £1200
Which in your opinion is the better option.
Discuss please.
New one (LG C9 55" with Stage)
Beogram 6500 MMC2,Beosound Ouverture,2xBeolab 8000,2xBelolab 4000,Beolab 2,Beolab 7.2,Beo4 navi, 2xBeocom2,Serene,Beosystem 3 mk3,H6 2nd gen,Earphones E8,A8,A9 keyring,Beoplay A1,Bottle opener,Beoplay A2 active(thanks Botty)Wine Set(thanks Botty),4Ktv Samsung 55'',Beolab 7.1 with 42''Panasonic plasma,,Oppo udp-203, LinTronic.
Not even close. The LG C9. Is BV 11 even an OLED panel?
B&O in my life 😊:
If you don’t need additional speakers and anything that a BeoSystem 4-based tv can offer, you’d very well be happy with the C9/Stage/BROne combo.
How big is your room?
Please be aware, that the B&O dealers have a good offer for the ‘Stage solution’.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
BV 11 is LCD.
But in many opinion is bv11 is a beautiful looking TV
It's 6x8 meters
Really the dealers have a LGC9 package with stage and beoone remote?
How much do you know?
It is not easy to say, ask your dealer,
LG Tv is lowered all the time, so the B&O dealer have to follow that in some degree,
You will get extra warranty on the LG tv from B&O, so keep that in mind.

I have a BV11 46 in my living room and recently got an LG OLED B9 (so essentially the same panel as C9) for my "movieroom".
Picturewise the LG is a winner. (BV11 still has a very pleasant picture but cannot compare with a OLED panel playing HDR content)
Designwise, BV11 is of course more interesting.
Soundwise BV11 of course is a winner. The LG need an additional sound solution and the Stage is probably the best possible option out there if you are not looking for a full surround setup.
Livingroom: BL3, BL11, BV11-46 Kitchen: Beosound 1 GVA, Beocom 2 Bathroom: M3 Homeoffice: M3, Beocom 2 Library: Beosound Emerge, Beocom 6000 Bedroom: M5, Essence remote Travel: Beoplay E8 2.0, Beoplay EQ, Beoplay Earset

6x8 meters is rather big imo.
Could ask for a full surround solution ;-)
But it depends on your needs/preferences.
A package solution is possible in Denmark - so why not in the UK!
The actual price depends on the price of the LG tv.
As Emil wrote, it includes an extended Warranty (and service for setting things up).
This is an offer from a danish dealer:
dan wilkins: A bv11 as above
I love my BV11, but not sure I'd recommend one in 2019. I still find the panel very sharp and bright (compared to, say, the smoother BV12 picture). It's quite old technology, too. I wouldn't spend nearly £3K on one.
Pushkin:Hi this package sounds very tempting - when compared to a full beovision is there any major compromise in user experience other than no ability to add speakers for surround sound - for example does the brone remote control input devices (eg satellite boxes) like a full beovision?
This solution does not offer PUC control, as with the BeoVisions.
Controlling external devices relies on the CEC feature of the tv, (the Stage) and the external box’es.
CEC often works, but is not always reliable or only partly.
It is tested with the AppleTV 4/K.
In my experience (my son has a C9) an LG bluray plyer works well - the controlling of his former Philips player was not perfect.
Time will tell - when people start reporting - which satelite boxes etc will work/work properly.
I guess noone knows all too much about this yet.
And most people will be happy with the tuners and apps of the LG tv and (maybe) the ATV4K box.
Arh ok
The bv11 Is timeless.
The C9 panel is superb.
The soundbar and the compatibility between the panel and soundbar with the Beo one remote seems a winner.
I've had a response from my local dealer in the UK.
LG C9 panel 5 yr warranty. £1399
Brone remote £275
Stage silver £1250
Right now I'm thinking b&o stage will slowly kill off the second hand TV market. Especially when the bv11 is still commanding almost £3k used.
That is true. But have seen Vogel's make one and sell a motorised bracket.
The bv11 is a great looking TV.
B&o should look to do a special edition model with and OLED panel. Basically an eclipse but in a BV 11 / 14 shape.
Bring it back
This is very interesting to know.
I assumed it would have worked also with a sky TV box too but I think you are right.
The brone remote will work the stage and c9 only.

Don’t be too hasty there - this will have to be tested.
CEC is a feature that is built-in to all newer HDMI-based devices.....but they don’t all work seamlessly together, unfortunately.
Please report back here, if you have a chance to test it - could be helpfull for other users.
BV11 if you want the option to turn the TV on its stand or on a wall hinge. I guess that with 55” plus screens and improved viewing angles there is less need to turn the screen so a fixed screen and fixed soundbar will be a good option in many cases, albeit with the risk that everything does not integrate perfectly and multiple remote controls have to be used.
It is still a mystery to me as to why B&O didn't produce a motorised stand or hinged soundbar with PUC control for any TV screen mounted above, but maybe they have also concluded that big screens don't need to be moved (or are impracticable to move in domestic environments.)

I have a newer LG Ultra short throw projector and a Sony A1E OLED TV and HMDI CEC works flawlessly with Apple TV 4K. Both are connected to B&O speakers from the displays directly. Apple TV to displays via HDMI. I also tried with a receiver using the HMDI ARC connection and HDMI CEC worked well there as well...I'd say, HDMI CEC is pretty well implemented by major display vendors such as LG, Sony, Samsung etc. B&O's recent products also play well with standards that allow them to interoperate. So I would not worry about HDMI CEC interaction between Stage and LG displays.

No, but that is not the question!
Of course B&O has tested how their Stage and the LG tv’s work together using CEC.
The question however, was how does other devices like a Sky receiver work in that mix.
CEC control works rather well in many cases, but I would not want to guaranty anything there without having tested it.
Sandyb:Unlikely your dealer actually has a Sky box connected in order for you to test. They tend not to pay for a Sky subscription in stores. I’d peruse LG forums to see how people have managed with the LG remote and Sky, as this may give you a good starting point
Well it's difficult because one is used and the other is new.
As much as i love the BV11 (i have the BV14) , if I was choosing now between those, I would choose the LG and the Stage on the proviso that I only ever watched things in stereo.
With the 11, although it's great, there is the risk with the panel (it's a minor risk) about the repairability if something un toward should come undone. If it was new or near new (and just been sitting in stock) I would choose the 11, but as it's used.
The SkyBox is the same as the Foxtel box here in Australia. They have their own particular remote codes that they never wanted to share, so CEC does not work with these boxes.
If you wanted to go down the LG / Stage path and wanted to add in extra speakers at a point - there is your limitation. You would still need to use your Sky remote.
With the 11, you can add extra wisa speakers down the track for rears and you can use the PUC cable into the Sky box and control it with the BeoRemote one.
