If I've read your post correctly, you're suggesting using your large speakers as rears and smaller speakers as fronts. You can certainly try it and see how it sounds, but that strikes me as completely counterintuitive.
Exactly. I wonder if it would be bad or good. I would need to rewire for it so I won't do it without knowing more first. I need ICEpower enabled PL to the back speaker port in my apartment first (or WISA which I've tried half a year with many issues of not turning on properly).

I've made a similar placement: The 8000s in front (opposite sofa) and the Pentas rear (left & right).
Soundwise - when I'm sitting in the sweetspot - it is a very good sound.
The treble of the 8000s is a bit higher and they are a bit louder than the pentas but the overall sound is very imprssive!
