I have a Beoplay A6. I’ve had it for 2 1/2 years. It’s been a wonderful piece of equipment and delivers a rich and full bodied sound. However, my iPhone 11 now won’t connect to the Chromecast built into it. I’ve been around and around with B and O’s tech-support, with Google tech-support, with Apple tech support and everyone blames the other one. The iPhone 11 will connect fine when I use a Chromecast audio dongle connected to a Beolit 15’s 3.5 mm audio line in. Has anyone had problems with Apple software connecting to a Chromecast built-in installation in a Beoplay product? If so, what have you done about it? I would appreciate any insight into this; I’m tearing my hair out about it.
No problems with my A9. But dies the A6 support AirPlay? Why not use AirPlay from your iPhone?
B&O in my life 😊:
It does support Airplay. The problem is that you cannot use the phone other than to transmit music when airplay is working. Chromecast allows you to use the phone for all other functions, including text and voice. It works simultaneously. That’s what makes it so valuable and so useful.
Just tried to chromecast from Deezer app to my A6 (from my iPhone XS, iOS13).
No problem. Takes a few seconds too long to start however.
