I an offer to buy a Beovision 10-40 cheap, 400 euro. From 2009. Is it a bad idea? I mean I see so many where the panel is defect and cannot be repaired. What do you think? Is all BV10-40 bad and suddently goes defect?

For 400 euro I would certainly give it a go.

Had it before my BV11-46 and its a nice TV, and the last with Masterlink if you fancy that.

Make sure the seller is a trustworthy person.

No regrets following buying my 10 40 a year ago for the bedroom. With an Apple TV connected it’s perfect, great set for looks and performance in my book. Yours sounds a bargain too!

Beovision 10, Beoplay V1, Beolab 17, Beolab 9, Beolab 4,  Beosound 2, Beosound Moment x 2,  Beoplay M3, Beogram 1700

I have a BV10 since 2011 that I bought new, Wasn’t the TV introduced in 2010?

Anyway, i do not agree that sound is bad, depends what you’re coming from and what kind of TV watcher/listener you are.

If it really is a BV10 and in working order, 400euro sounds like a good deal. Does it come with a stand or wall mount and a remote? The more the better.

Good luck with your purchase!

I purchased a MK1 BV10-40 almost 2 years ago and it has treated me really well. I went for one with a motor stand and it is a joy to use on a daily basis.

Only downside is the sound. If you want powerful sound, you will definitely need an extra set of speakers to supplement. I run mine with BeoLab 8000s and it makes for an excellent setup.

Beo4 'til I die!

I used to own a BV10 and miss that bright orange fret! If I could get another for the bedroom, I would for 400 €

For 400 euros this would be an excellent buy IMHO. At 40 inches 4K is not that important. There is no modern set you can get at this price that looks so great - especially with the motorized floor stand. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I needed a 40 Inch screen.

B&O in my life 😊:

  • Beolab 8002 + Beolab 2 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Office)
  • Beolab 6000 + Beolab 11 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Bedroom)
  • Beoplay A9 Mk2 (Living Room)
  • Beosound 1 with wireless dock (Portable)
  • Beosound Balance (Dining)
  • Beoplay H95 (Focused listening, travel)
  • Beoplay H9 (3rd gen) (retired)
  • Beoplay P6 (Portable)
  • Beotime wall clock (hallway entrance)
  • BMW X5 50i with B&O Audio Package (Commute/drive)

It is with Wall Mount, and I plan it only stranding at the floor against the wall. I love when it stands a bit “raw”.

It is from 2009 and it started in production in late 2009.

I bought a used one 2 years after launch and it is a wonderful TV I have red speaker cover and it connected to Apple TV and PlayStation to watch BR. It used to be connected to BL8ks and BL2 as main TV and sounded great. It’s now in another smaller room without external speakers and I have no issues with the sound for how it’s used now

Hi Guys,

The sound quality rise many times here. I wonder how does this quality compare with a Beocenter/Beovision 6/26.

The fact is I did recently see two BV6/32 for 350€ with remote and stand and I was tempted to replace my BC6.
But that would be only for aesthetics reasons since the BC6 is currently perfectly configured to my tastes (Atv, Airplay, Radio) and the sound, as much as the picture are more than enough not to say perfect.

So how do the the BV10(32) compare with it?

I mentioned the BV 8 26/32 because it also is 10 years or even more. Under the circumstances a fine tv

Another user said he never would buy a 10 years old tv. I love my Bv8 for what it is
