a question, is a good antenna connected?
without a good antenna signal, noise suppression suppresses the sound!
in the worst case, the FM tuner is defective.

I looked in the circuit diagram, the switching of the sound sources happens on the power / preamp boardif there is no signal from the tuner board then I would firstlook for the connections between these boardsPreamp <-> tunerP13 <-> P5 power supply connectionP21 <-> P7 DATA / CLOCKP14 <-> P3 audio signalnone of the voltages passed on the P5 are intended exclusively for the tuner, so I would check the voltages, but I don't think that a voltage is missing (unless a wiring error has occurred).DATA / CLOCK are only the digital signals from the RDS or frequency displayOn the P3 / P14, a humming sound should be heard on the right or left when touched (audio signal output of the tuner); if there is no sound here, I suspect the defect on the tuner board

The Beocenter 2300/2500/Ourveture tuner boards(and also Beocenter 9300) often dies, and cannot be fixed. If you have antenna hooked up to it, and it cannot tune any stations automatically, then 99% the tuner board is dead. Nothing really that can be done, many people have tried to fix them, no-one has succeded to my knowledge.
I have seen many of these die.

I have to agree with Weebyx
a normally equipped electronics technician cannot really repair the board because smd components are installed
@Weebyx: do you know whether b & o is still repairing these boards or is still supplying the boards as a spare part?
If your 2300 has the optional RDS Modul mounted remove that one. This one is often dying, and with a defective one the radio isn’t working.
the module is only clipped and has to wires to remove. Take it out when it is mounted and try again your Radio

To my understanding, the problem is not SMD components(which there are actually few, if any) on the tuner boards. The real problem is calibrating and "tuning" the whole circuit correct after replacing dying components.
B&O will not repair these boards, and have never done it to my understanding, they just replaced the defective tuner board with a new.
