Beolab 6000 into a 3500 casing? Possible?

Hi,

I have a broken 3500, that has a great condition casing and a spare 6000. 

Has anyone attempted to fit the 6000 internals into a 3500 casing and delete the display for a centre speaker. I’m looking for a matched centre speaker to my 8000 and 6000 setup, so a 3500/6000 casing Center would be perfectly matched?

 

Any ideas?!
