Hello everyone,
I have a Beomaster 5 with a pair of Beolab 9000s connected via Powerlink. In the same area, I have Loewe TV with a cinch audio out, that I would like to have as an aux audio in on the BM5.
Reading up on the forum I understood I need to use the Masterlink connection on the BM5 to achieve this lag-free. This would require:
- a cable RCA -> Beosound aux input (https://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/52-72-stereo-rca-twin-phono-to-beosound-aux-input-din-socket.html)
- A Beolink convertor 1161166.
My questions:
1. Is my initial assumption correct?
2. How do I connect the Beolink convertor, which has a Powerlink output, to the BM5? I can't figure out how the convertor fits with the Masterlink-connection on the BM5.
3. How will I be able to set the Beomaster 5 to this aux input?
Thank you for your feedback!
Steve's last post in this thread covers it: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/20998.aspx
And the Powerlink socket on the BL converter is an input rather than output, but you don't need to use it in your proposed setup. The only connection that you require between the converter and your BM5 is a masterlink cable.
So the BL convertor has an identical Masterlink connection, and I use a ML male-male cable to connect it to the BM5?

Yes and yes!
You can see the connections here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bang-Olufsen-B-O-BeoLink-Converter-SW-1-3/323940926547?hash=item4b6c624453:g:L7QAAOSwmxVdm4~W

Amazing, that makes my life easy! And to bring up this input on the BM5/BS5, I just switch it to A AUX?
No. You select it using the 'TV' button on the Beo4 remote. This may seems illogical but you'll have to trust us!
