Hi everyone,

Unbelievably basic question I'm looking for help on - please be kind!

I've inherited a Beovision 7 TV Model 9334, item 1817831, serial 20239266.

It came with 2 massive soundbars and 2 remote controls.

All I want to do is try it out, check if it works, then decide what to do with it.

I believe it was all working before it was re homed with me.

I can't find any user guides on the web, and the paper ones that came with it are long gone.

I've plugged mains in (figure of 8 cable) and tried to operate with the remote control, but nothing is happening.

There are no lights on anywhere and no sign of an on/off switch (there's a silver oval thing underneath the front edge that doesn't seem to move).

Am I missing something stupid I need to do, just to fire it up?

Many thanks

There should be a red indicator light on at the lower right corner when it is connected to power. If that is not illuminated, I m not sure what to suggest. As for the user guide, it should be available on the Bang and Olufsen web page. The sound bars sound like they could be Beolab 7-1 or 7-2. User guides for those should also be on the B and O site. Only one would be used with the tv. The oval thing is probably the built in DVD player.

Thanks I've found the instructions online now. I'm almost too embarrassed to say what the problem was. There was a bunch of mains cables taped together and I'd plugged the cable used as a power extension into the TV, not the one from th mains plug. It was dark and I was tired......
