Hello,

Does anybody know when finally the other colors for the Beolit 12 will be available?

2nd question : I have read in an other post that the new TV under the B&O Play brand will be the next launch... Any news about the date? Any photos? Unsure

I also heard that in May all will be revealed.  B&O had better hurry.  Google Play was recently announced.

why does that affect B&O any more or less that Airplay ???

I just looked up "google play" and it just seems to be an Android applications store ... am I missing something ? like the BeoPlay TV will be Android based ?!?!?!?

Correct. Although I think the poster above meant that "Google Play" will appear on TVs that use an Android OS for their media center.

That or the use of  the "Play" name will become synonymous with something or someone other than B&O which could lead to confusion in the market.

I was thinking about the use of the "Play" name because I received so many emails from Google Play recently about their new service.  Google Play is essentially like iTunes. In Google Play you will be able to rent movies and buy music and Android apps.  Everybody is going to hear about Google Play and never notice Beo Play.

I have a Beolit 12 and really like it.  However when I tell people about it and am asked about the manufacturer.   I always say it's made by Bang and Olufsen and never say anything about Beoplay.  In fact at the B&O store, they never mention Beoplay.  Google Play is going to overwhelm the use of the "Play" name.  B&O should quietly let the name disappear.

I guess everyone has noticed that I don't like sub brands.  I have been involved in these sub brand projects before  through one of my past employers and know these projects never do very well.  BMW is an example of a company that manages entry level products quite well.  A BMW series 1 and a BMW series 7 differ greatly in price but the Series 1 is still a BMW.

Google Play will be everywhere because of the large market share for Android devices.

You may be right. But the first thing i did wen i visited my dealer, was to take a look under the Beolit 12. It was made in China. Not what i expected from a 600 € product. Made in Europe would have been nice!

Beovision 10-32, Beolab 2500, Beosound Ouverture, Serenata, Beomaster 2000, Sony BDP-S550, Apple TV 2, MX 7000 & MX 6000, XBOX 360 HALO 4 Bundle.

The best things in life have always been those that last.

Sir, I agree with you. B & O applies the same policy as Apple. Designed their products in Denmark and produced in China to gain maximum benefit.

That is regrettable from a prestigious and luxury company. It is shameful even when there are so many unemployed people in Europe. Erm..

I agree with "Newcastle", please do not start this debate again.

Just before the close of the old forum there was long and valuable debate about the state of the world's economic affairs - but let us not go over that path again, re-read the old forum and PM with individuals, but let us not take this nascent forum off-(B&O)-topic until we have re-established a healthy community.

Yellow should be readily available in April as they are making them at present, and the blue and light grey will arrive mid summer - whenever that is! I think I'll wait till all the colours are available. I seem to remember some talk of special editions doing the rounds so I dare say more will arrive in time.
