Wondering if someone could tell me how to get MW when the push buttons have Am - FM only. When I press AM all I get is LW. What am I missing ?

Thanks Rudy

The user manual seems to be what you are missing.
You switch between LW and MW by pressing down on the tuning wheel.

One other question, the output emitter bias resistors in the circuit show .39 ohms, R26-27, mine had 1 burnt & oc are .202 ohm, the closest I have is .22 ohms .

THere is a slight difference in the current reading, would it be better to replace both to .22 ?

The two emitter resistors should be identical.

Hi Martin,

First all thanks about the LW & MW function.
I realize that should be both the same, should the value be what is in the unit or the schematic. The ones in the unit look original. I think  why one burnt was because of the spring clip which retain the output module heat sink. When I originally removed the module to replace all the red caps, the clip must have dropped inside, something  shorted on switch on. The seconday fuse blow instantly which prevented any further damage.  When I removed the module again to check all my work and the darlington outputs as well as every transistor, I could not find a cause. To prove it I exchanged the outputs, heat sink and all, with each other. All worked fine except for the difference in bias.
