Hi,
Maybe this is a boring topic or not, but I thought it would be nice if we could map out the various promo CDs and vinyl that has published by B&O over the years. It would also be fun if there could be some subjective review regarding the quality of the recording and music. If it is rare or not. And a picture to top it off.
To get the ball rolling I will share my used CD find I bought a couple of days ago. It is the "Benni Chawes Unplugged Limited Edition". I cannot find any catalogue number on this one one so I suspect it is a give away promo CD of some sort. It has a booklet with some introduction of the artist and then some product presentations.
Review:
Music - Well it is a jazz CD but even if this is not your cup of tea you may still find it pleasurable to listen to. It is typical soft style modern tracks with Bennis characteristical voice. He is a Danish musician if you do not know of him but with an international track record. I happen to like music like this in the background at the house so I enjoyed it very much.
Recording - One of the best sounding CDs I own. It suffers slightly from the 0db maximum sound level sickness we see a lot of today, but not overly compressed. A good workout for your B&O system.
Collectible - Probably not. Please add more information.

I don't think the cassette you saw on my pictures (VCR) will fit in your Beocord 4500 Paul

NOW we're talking!

NOW we're talking! I just love these two. The first DVD with the "propaganda" label just cracks me up. It is a very honest description of the DVDs purpose.
The other vinyl "Beoparty 1" promises big things. Just play it for confetti ;-) Would love to read a review of it.
All the stuff you posted is exactly what I wanted to see when I first started this thread. On the serious side wouldn't it be nice if we could make a list with all known B&O releases for the nerds collectors? Maybe Peter could make room somewhere on Beoworld.
All readers, please keep posting your gems!
My last try on this subject was in this thread:
http://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/39063.aspx
Dillen mentioned an older thread
archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/37562/311888.aspx
That was started by Leslie
The latest attempt on this matter looks like a more promising start ...
That's right Peter, I remember that! Tomorrow I'm gonna post all my CD's and doubles! Hopefully I can trade my doubles
Shall we post B&O gadgets as well? Maybe someone has one I don't have and is willing to trade...
For those who might be interested on Ebay (not mine):
record #1
record #2 (several)
I agree - an area with B&O ephemera would be interesting.A photo and a word document with a description would allow me to add a section. I am not round that much but will endeavour to add when I can!
Interested by the album cover for the CD4 Mahler. Mine is completely different!
Peter
Peter: Interested by the album cover for the CD4 Mahler. Mine is completely different!
I hope yours is a double album as well?
That's odd. I was certain that I had a picture in the media section of my aluminium box with 6 classical CD's from Deutsche Grammofon that I got with my BS9000.
I'll try to take a new photo of it when I get home after the holidays.

It is. London Symphony Orchestra.
Henrik Toubro: That's odd. I was certain that I had a picture in the media section of my aluminium box with 6 classical CD's from Deutsche Grammofon that I got with my BS9000. I'll try to take a new photo of it when I get home after the holidays.
I had completely forgotten about this thread, as I couldn't find the box. Well I found the pictures in my iPhoto archive just know:
It's an aluminum box and it looks great is it Henrik? Again, as soon as I find time I will post all my B&O CD's, vinyl records and tapes.
Btw, I found another Mahler CD-4 album, same but in a box!
