Hi to all.First I would like to tell you that I am new to this world, and so far not so good.I bought a beosound9000 with a beo4 remote and try to connect at external amplificator(McIntosh).I have a cable that I can linked it a PL with 2 rca at the end.First problem is that the signal is too low.If I linked the phones I can increase the output volume but if I go to standby I need to go over again with this.Second I can't control it with beo4.I try to play with option, config but nothing so far. They should put this option in instruction manual.Thank you and hope I can solve this.

You can pick up a nominal 1v signal at the AUX socket. You will need some sort of volume control.

The remote is disabled because the 9000 defaults to Option 0 unless you connect a pair of powerlink speakers to the BS9000 or I am sure that steve@soundsheavenly.co.uk could wire up a dummy plug for you. You could then select Option 1 and the remote will work.

Interesting, when I first got my 9000 I used it to drive a McIntosh MC240 amp with no problems with either output level or remote.

Jeff

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

Thank you for your answer. If I go to a.opt and select 2,5,6 the remote will work but I try all option 0,1,2,5,6 but still no 1v signal to aux socket.I am sure the cable is right.Do I need to select something from the menu(i saw audio1,audio2).Thank you.

Have you tried to connect the BS 9000 via the Powerlinksocket instead of the Aux-socket via a DIN to RCA-cable?

Edit: the 2 RCA plugs will go from the pre-amp (your BS9000) to the main in of your amplifier.

That's the way I do it. Put on the poweramp by hand and use the Beo4 to control my Beocenter.

Via the AUX-socket the volume is fixed and via the powerlinksocket the output is variable. Give it a try. Good luck! Probably the BS9000 should be set in another option (not 0).
