Hi all,

My Beosystem 2500 does not react on any remote. I have tested it with a BL1000, a BL4 and a Beo 5. The led on the system does not react. Batteries of the remotes are full and are working with other B&O stuff.

The system works well when the keys are touched on the system by hand.

The Beosystem is a stand-alone device. Only a BG 3300 with preamp is connected. The powerlinksocked is used and connected to a Audiolab 8200P poweramp to drive passive speakers.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I think you have to change the option setting of your Beosytem using your remote. I'm sure someone else can tell you how to do that!

There is actually a functionality to turn off the remote function, I noticed that by mistake when I added my Beosound 2300 without any speakers in the Beo5 config. So it is not necessarily a malfunction.

At the moment, I do not remeber how I did it though but I bet I found the answer on this site.

(one thing you could try if you have a Beo5 + config tool is to add it to a zone with speakers - might work)

My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....
