First thoughts.......... confusing!

I guess we are all creatures of habit and will get used to it.

(Emoticons not too good, but I am lazy and liked to just hit those [][][] brackets to call up the best emoticon in the old forum!)

OK. The forum is unattractive at best. Since the layout is more or less unchangable as i understand. Wouldn't be more B&Oish if Keith changed the "Suggest an Answer" green colour and the "Suggest as Answer" yellow, to something more appropriate to the main layout colours? Also the light green box of a Verified Answer could be changed. Please Keith, do something on that. Comparing to the old forum the colour selection is pure cr#p....

I have to agree! It's the uncoordinated colour scheme that makes the forum feel very odd!

Despite me being open to the new layout I am not 100% comfortable. However, I never am when something changes so radically so I think we should all give the hard work Keith has put into this a good chance before complaining too much :)

So that's at least two more days then Stick out tongue Big Smile

Is there any way to make the default font larger? It's quite small, and my eyes are suffering from the assault of time.

The forum is looking a lot better now, I think. The text entry font (on my large Cinema Display) is still too small - it's 10pt as default - but you can make it BIGGER now.

Still learning my way around the "new" Beoworld.

Two items I have noticed:

1.  how does one contact a fellow member "offline"?  In the past, there was a "contact" button for PM/e-mail.

2.  obviously I can sign-in, but each time I enter my name and password, I am returned to the sign-in page.  I then need to click something else before the main Beoworld page opens.  Next time, I will pay more attention to the "something else" I need to click so I do not sound so stupid.

Go to (upper right corner of this page) "signed in as name", in the middle column you will find "start a conservation" or "send an Email", read the pages carefully, its so something else, its all there just in different places and not so stupidBeer

Same annoying feature as in old forum: when doing search, in results could be start of threat, and tens of Re:´s. I think that Re:´s dont do anything but mess in search results. I ´m not sure if NOT is working in search criteria (beogram vs. beogram NOT Re:), difference on amount of results is so huge.

 blah-blah and photographs as needed

Some problems with the forum, which I posted in a wrong thread earlier, I hope, this is a good place for these:

- "Members On-Line" status on the main forum page has a wrong post count status - mostly "(0)" shown.

- If You press the name, the search function will show "userid:XXXX" against to the user name (anyway it works)

- If I press "Posts you have not read" shortcut, I will get the list, but:

    - I can't go to the last unread post, as I can get the first or the last only (maybe my fault)

    - If I select "New since last visit" option, the list will be empty with this message: "There are no posts to show. This could be because there are no posts in this forum or due to a filter."

- I asked for "Email me replies to this post", and this option sent me my posts too. I think, this is a bug this way.

And a suggestion:

 - I think, the "Posts you have not read" shortcut could be placed on the top on the page (where it was earlier),

I'm using Opera/WinXP, maybe these are faults for this case only. I hope these suggestions will help You to improve the site.
