I notice that people with long lists of equipment in their tag line (or what ever it's called) now appear as a vertical list, unnecessarily lengthening a thread - are there plans to change this or do other folk not see it as an annoyance?

You mean an annoyance, vertical OR horizontal?

To be honest I'm not particularly a fan of the "long list of gear" either way but at least when horizontal it doesn't unnecessarily lengthen the thread.

Ok, I guess this is an appropriate place to say it...

I don't mind the lines/sequential lists of gear (swag list as Rich says) but those vertical, bullet-pointed monsters must go!! I maintain a pretty huge list of my gear but it stays in my Bio.

Punch, I'm with you.

Frankly, I have used the APP, but it is redundant with the latest iOS, IMHO.

I freely post with little and big iWoops all the time.

Only issue I have had is the smiley window not popping, but that is resolved by using the codes...

Yes, I had noticed that as well - I prefer seeing the name as the new avatars are not instantly recognisable.

Hhhmmm, wasn't this Rich that ever called it a swag list....least I don't think it was.

I rather dig the lists here, at diyaudio, and audiogon.  Gives some insight into the member IMHO.

Hi Peter,

It seems that you are the only one with stars... at least you are the only Beta-tester where I can see the three golden stars and the founder-"f"

But I am happy for you that you can post without too much trouble.

edit: Peter, I see you have over 9000 posts already? Must have something to do with the settings

I like it. The recent topics list is a little annoying as it makes me forget to go into the actual forum I want.

Also I don't see the need to have general and then general and questions within general.

The speed is excellent as the forum always hung for me when first going to the site.

Its nice to use.

One thing I wonder is when using other forums you get to decide on the theme of the forum so you can view it in which ever mode you prefer.

So far excellent

I think the new forum is pretty great, but somewhat a lot of buttons and options to click. I'm all for keeping it simple.

Too long to list....

Depending on how the members write their list. A long vertical list is annoying (for me), on the other hand if the list is there in a replay you can see what the member has of equipment and ask questions accordingly. Below mine should appear if you didn't uncheck it.

One thing that I couldn't put my finger on...

COLORS! Lots of colors! The reserved subtlety of the old forum was a bit more pleasant on the eyes.

Will this new SW allow  "user skinning?"

Names back - that is great - we can ignore signatures - very good, colours in posts - the forum still cannot spell though! Smile It doesn't like colour!!

Not sure this has been mentioned but the advertising logos at the bottom are not centered under the thread - at least not on my iMac.

In the user profiles Conversations Configuration the default setting for Allow Conversations From is "Friends Only".
Wouldn't it be better set at "All users" ?
Surely mine is.

Also, I would personally prefer the "Email me replies to this post" checkmark when posting defaulted to unchecked if possible.
