I was on the old forum and posted a couple of answers, what a difference, this beta is a lot faster.

Peter:

Names back - that is great - we can ignore signatures - very good, colours in posts - the forum still cannot spell though! Smile It doesn't like colour!!

Not sure this has been mentioned but the advertising logos at the bottom are not centered under the thread - at least not on my iMac.

Working now! Can you arrange the screen to go blue from time to time so I can remember what a Windows computer is like?

When will this forum go live? It is far superior to the old forum - and the old one is suffering from the lack of regular posters.

Interesting! When writing a post, the ads are off to the left again.

Apparently in two weeks time if there aren't any issues.

Mine shift to the left too but only slightly - leaving a 2cm gap on the right. Windows XP/Firefox 9.0.1

Ditto, here at work on XP with Firefox 10.0.

At home I use Windows 7 with Firefox 10.0, and I didn't notice any issues last night.  I will look again, if it's important.

@Keith Also, I could start using Explorer or Chrome on one or more of my Windows boxes if you'd like.

At work I just tried XP/IE8 and the ads line up properly when reading the forum and when replying.

Firefox and Safari issue?

I haven't run into any problems yet, PC, Windows7 and Chrome. Just added an avatar with no problems. Great work Keith! Next I need to renew my membership.

Using WindowsXP + Firefox (Home) and Windows7 + IE at work I haven't encoutered any problems so far, also the adds on the bottom are centered.

Thanks to Keith and all others involved for the great work!

After doing a few tests it appears that the issue you are seeing is linked to some (but it appears not all) versions of Firefox, rather than the forum.

Not exactly sure at this stage exactly what is happening and this will need further investigation.

I have no problems what so ever with that, tried the folders in "My Files", works, thank you, the tags still gives me 404 except SOLVED

Not sure this is a problem or has been raised, but on the main page, if a thread has multiple pages, only 1 and 2 are shown even if there are 4. Means you cannot simply go to the last page.

Maybe addressed before (i don't know) but photo's do not seem to be displayed completely.

I took some picture via photobucket with IMG code, but only half of the picture is shown (see BS8 posting).

Anyone?

Well, to be honest, I don't like it one tiny bit.
For a professional forum it's plain ugly and I can't find my way around. I can't even figure out how
to upload media files, photos etc., from my PC to my library. It's just empty and the only way seems
to be from URL which can't be right.
My mailbox gets cluttered up. Even if I turn "Email me replies" off, I still get an email every single time
someone replies after me.
Posting seems to work though. One tiny but still essential detail that our old forum lacked.
Better than nothing, I suppose.

Probably just me getting old and grumpy.

I had that problem and managed to stop them by setting a prefs as below, I still think it should be set as default to OFF. As it is, when everyone else moves across and the post count multiplies it's going to annoy them all!

That's actually exactly what I mean when I say that I can't find my way around.
I will try the suggested settings and upload.

I must say that I am inclined to agree with Martin, so much so that I find myself losing interest.

Definitely a retrograde step as far as presentation is concerned. I hope the software was cheap, it certainly looks it!

Thanks. Embarrassed
The radiogram has seen some progress. Still a long way to go, though, but it looks promising.
Unable to post on the old forum without timeouts etc. I couldn't be bothered taking notes anylonger.

Thats why we test this forum, dont whine, come with suggestions on how you want it, there are still things that could be done better, and we all have our different ways to work.

I still cant access new folder in "My Files" I can add a new folder, and it appears, but trying to open it I get the 404 message.

here is how it should work
