Hi,

I was looking for Beogram to my Beolab 5000 & Beomaster 5000,

- almost the same old

- almost the same colour

- almost the same or better condition

- cheaper than Beogram 3000 (Thorens)

... and I found and falling in love with Beogram 1800 (5213). Today I drove 250 km and I bought it !!!

Absolutely beautiful, a wonderful piece. Congratulations on the find!

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

No, I'm smarter than I thought :)

For me it looks too regular and maybe it is for something....

I checked it and it is a very special hole... but if I tell you.. I must kill you.

Ok. because you think that I dont know, I can tell, it's for tonearm regulations.

Very good - had a skim through the service manual but clearly wasn't careful enough when reading - good looking deck and one that is rarely mentioned - I know Tim Jarman likes it!

Thanks Peter, Your opinion means a lot to me.

Tim ?? Beocentral man ??

Next week if I finish wooden works with Beolab and Beomaster I will try to open it and check motor and all mechanism.

Ok, I opened Beogram. It looks like I done it first.

I turned on engine and I was very surprised how silent and free of vibration it runs. I needed to touch axle to checked that engine works. Because it is in good condition I only put new synthetic grease and contact cleaner.

Meanwhile I bought SP12, it's NOS, it was checked by my retipper and it is in excellent condition.

Hi,

The SP12 appears to ride too low. Have you checked the tracking force?

I think it's because of perspective. I use 1.2 grams. I will make one more photo for you.

If you use YouTube thru BeoLab 5000 with M70 it should sound really quite good. Laughing

Hi, I only want to say that I bought RIAA GF4 from Dillen.

Awesome set. Perfect PCB, quality elements

and after put it inside

Beogram plays like via Beomaster preamp but now I can use it independent with all amplifier and still plays with correct sound level.

Thanks Martin - great job !!!

Because I changed my whole main audio system

and only Beogram 1800 stayed in living room, I changed signal wire with new one RCA

power cord changed too, old one (white), was dirt and too loose plug sometimes was self disconected.

Sounds better, less noises from GND.
