Hi

I am trying to take off the display cover on a Beosound 1, picture attached.

I've read the manual and I still can't get it off. Petrified I'll break it.

Any tips on how to remove it would be greatly appreciated. I need to get to the board underneath.

Thanks!

If I recall correctly, the display cover snaps onto the display/IR board at the top 2 corners and the bottom then slides into place over the board. I think you gently pull the bottom out toward you at the edges and then push the display cover up and off of the board making sure to keep the bottom free from the board. If you shine a light into the recesses at the top corners you can see how it's attached.  It's been a few years since I replaced the display/IR board but it was pretty simple in the end.  With the cover removed, I think there are 2 small screws to remove the board and then the cable connections.

It's meant to be removed from the front and there are no screws holding the cover to the board.

After you inspect carefully with a light to corroborate my recollection, be gentle but firm topull it out at the bottom and then slide it up and off.

Good luck!

Bill
