Beo 6000 speakers

I have just bought a pair of second hand 6000 speaker to run with a Pioneer plasma TV, i have conected them to the phono (RCA) out puts on the TV but i have no volume control over the speakers via the TV?? Any Ideas?? Thanks. Gary.

Usually somewhere in one of the TV menus you will be able to adjust the RCA output to be either 'fixed' or 'variable' - the latter enabling you to change with your TV remote.

If that still doesn't work. You can get a NuForce Icon HDP. Quite affordable and reputable will get even better if you replace the wall wart power supply with a linear one. I am using a Nuforce Icon with a pair of more than a decade old Beolab 6000s and the results are not too shabby when playing back uncompressed via an ipod. I can imagine the HDP to be fat better.
