I inherited these speakers quite a few years ago.  I was super excited, but going to school and having a family force these into storage.  I finally found time to get these puppies working again.  I purchased an 8 pin din y connector and soldered in 2 rca inputs and a 3.5mm plug for the trigger (plugged into a 3v ac/dc adapter).  I get both speakers to turn on, but there is a significant buzz that overpowers any music played through them.  Even with no input i still get the buzzing.

I currently have the trigger going to pins 4 and 2.

Do I need use a different power supply for the trigger, should I be looking at an internal amp issue, or do I have the wrong pins?

Thanks for any help!

Did some troubleshooting and figured it out.  Hopefully this will help someone else in the future.  When I was making my cable, the shield wire for the powerlink cable broke.  Hooked it back up and no more.buzz!
