Hello to all

I have a beogram 1202 that would only turn when 17 was selected. Taking the base cover off and looking at the mechanics I could see the motor was working (when manual was selected) but the idler was about 1mm from the motor spindle. I saw that the idler assembly was very stiff at the pivot. I have managed to free this up but now wondering how the pressure is applied to keep the idler on the motor spindle? Thought there might be a spring somewhere. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment on this

Ok, ignore this question I was missing the obvious - the belt provides the pressure. In my defence I was tired and looking at the mechanism whilst stripped of the platter and sub-platter. All good now.

One of the reasons this belt is so critical.
