The user manual doesn.'t say even though Page 11 refers to  the CD player "pausing".

Hoping someone can help.

Thanks

Noel.

Don't you simply press the 'Play' button on the bottom right of the front panel?  I thought that it is both Play and Pause?

"Stop" will pause. It will remain in Pause until it turns off if not used for some minutes. There is no "Stop" function, it will always be in pause when not playing.

Hi  Guy,

Thanks for your speedy reply- it's doing my head in LOL>

On the front panel there is only two options- "Open" (LHS)  and "Play". (RHS)

The play fuction can also be used to switch the player back to stand-by,- if you hold down the play for 2 seconds ,the unit reverts to stand-by and so does the Beomaster 4500.

Regards

Noel.

Hi Weebyx

Thanks for your prompt response, much appreciated.

You are correct when you say there's no "Stop", but from my experience, keeping the "play' depressed for 2 secs causes the unit to switch to stand-by and the Beomaster 4500 too.

So, the player won't always be in pause -it reverts to stand-by when not playing.

regards

Noel

I thought we were talking about how to do it with the remote :)

It is not possible to "pause or stop" the playing(aside from switching to std.by) via the front buttons. Pressing play once while it is playing, skips to the next track, long press goes to std.by as you found out.

Hello to anyone who is interested, but I answered my question quite by accident.

The "pause" function is activated when you select any other source on the Beomaster.

Very handy when you want to pick up where you left off, rather than scrolling through the whole track list,

Noel.
