Apologies from this new forum member if the question I'm about to ask has already been answered numerous times elsewhere, but having searched the archives I couldn't find a solution.

I've owned a Beocenter 9000 for nearly three years, and in that time it's worked perfectly.  However, recently there's been a slight issue with the display.  It's slightly hard to describe, but when anything lights up, part of the item next to it lights up as well, if that makes sense.  For example, if "Loudn" is illuminated, "Muted" is also visible, but much less brightly.  This seems to be true for every item on both the top and bottom displays.

Also, the green volume lights are more visible, even when the unit is not powered up, which wasn't the case when it was "new".  I haven't moved the unit recently or anything like that.  Apart from these issues with the display, everything else seems to be working fine.

As a novice to B&O, I'm really not sure what has caused this, so I'm hoping that someone can offer some advice!

Hi and welcome to Beoworld!

It sounds to me as if the glass control/display panels are loose.  They are fixed to plastic surrounds with a foam tape, and this comes loose over the years, which leads to the glass lifting slightly.  Once they have lifted there can be light 'leakage' from one position to another, plus usually the Beocenter becomes more difficult to control because the glass is not in contact with the sensors below.

Have a search on the forum for Beocenter glass panels - if I can find a useful thread I'll link it here later.

Thanks Guy, I'll have a closer look at those threads and try to secure the panels.
