I got 2 new LC1's with box manuals/packing. (ebay)
Fuse checked OK on both.
Connected lamp with LED bulb - flickered when connected and does not respond to touch or Beo4 commands.
Connected lamp with Incandescent bulb - stays off and does not respond to touch or Beo4 commands.
Any ideas on what could be wrong ?
Thanks in advance !!
Sometimes they just die. I had my LC-1 for over 25 years, and same thing happened last year. The fuse was fine. I sent it in for a diagnostic and spent $100 just for B&O to tell me there was nothing they could do to fix it since the parts are no longer available. I've resorted to using Google smart outlets for light control instead.
BeoLab 5, BeoVision 7-55 MK2, BeoSound 5 Encore, BeoSound 9000, BeoLab Penta III, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 2, BeoLab 7-6, BeoSound 8, BeoTime (analog clock), Beo 4 remote.

First connect them and wait about 10 minutes. Then try to operate them. Sometimes they need some time to "awake".
If this doesn't solve the problem, then you will have to open them and check the lithium battery and all electrolytic capacitors. There is a thread in the forum about this. That assumes that you have some knowledge in electronics and soldering.
The fact that the two LC1s were never used doesn't mean that they will work properly after 30 years of storage. Batteries die and capacitors dry over time, unfortunately.
Good luck,
Jean
