I'm looking for a new belt for my vinyl player which is a BEOGRAM 3400.

I thought it would be easier to find but it's proving to be very challenging.

Any ideas or places you know of where I can find one would be much appreciated at this stage

Thanks

Try the user "Dillen" - his real name is Martin. He can supply the correct belts for many B&O products. He seems busy at the moment though, I mailed him a week ago and have´nt heard back.

BeoPlay A9 Mk. II "Special Edition" - "Smoked Oak"

Beosound Stage "Contrast Collection" - Anthracite

Beoplay M5 - Black

Beomaster 7000 + Beocord 7000 + Beogram 7000 MMC1/2 + Beogram CD7000 + Beolink 7000 + Beolab 8000

Beocenter 9500 + Beolink 1000

AUX Expander "Custom Mod" (built-in Bluetooth streaming)

I just checked Australian E- Bay and U.K. E-Bay, and they both have the belt listed for sale.( From Portugal)

Like in most other Beograms with AC-motors, the belt has to have certain properties with regards to elasticity and friction, because the
belt forms part of the speed switching mechanics (the AC motor cannot be adjusted much in speed, it runs pretty much at same speed constantly regardless of the chosen platter speed).
I reproduced the original belt for Beogram 1000, 1200 etc. and I am currently working on reproducing the belt for Beogram 1100/1900/3400, - not sure when I will have it ready.
The best immediate solution is to cut 10mm out of the length of the old belt and glue it back together. If you cut at an angle the glue will
have a larger surface to adhere to. I know this sounds like a goofy solution, but it works surprisingly well - for a temporaray solution.

Forget EBay and read this: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/38090.aspx

Kasse - I don't recall receiving an email from you. Please use the contact form on the Beoparts website.

If it's still the original belt cyanoacrylate or a good and strong contactglue.
Other belts - trial and error.
It will never be more than a temporary solution.

Thanks Martin, yes I was going to ask about the glue as well but another person on this thread has said they are on the AUST ebay site so I might try there before I start doing some very amateur work cutting into belts.

Appreciate your answer though very much

OMG Martin I just read those threads from ebay. *** Surprise

So you say glue is a temporary solution. Do you have an idea about a more permanant one if buying belts from ebay is a no go??

I'm in Australia so very impossible to come to see you
