Hi everyone,
I hope you don't mind me asking a question for once, instead of answering other people's questions!
I have just been given a broken Beocenter 3300 by a friend - this is very special to me, as this was my first B&O system over 30 years ago and I want to get this working again......
Looking at the source selector switches, the mains power seems to run through the "Off" button, but this is not properly clicking on when a source button is pressed. (When you press a button, it should cancel any other button that is already pressed, or pressing the Off button should cancel the source and turn off the power).
Does anyone know if this button assembly can be repaired or if a replacement is available please? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Steve.

The power switch itself can bind, preventing other buttons from latching down..Give it a shot of contact cleaner and work it a bit.In some cases the spring at the side of the power switch has lost tension and will have to be replaced or tightened.
Martin
Thanks Martin,
I should have thought of that! I will try that and see if it works....
Kind regards, Steve.
Hi Martin,
Sorry for the slow reply. The mains switch had got stuck, so I removed this, freed it up and got the switch panel working. Thanks for your help!
May I ask another question please? After a few minutes of use, the sound from the Beocenter becomes muffled and faint, then it disappears to a very low volume (it can only just be heard through headphones at full volume). The tone controls and balance control still still seem to be working. This affects all input sources.
Any ideas please?
Thanks for your help! Steve.
Replace capacitors on the power supply board (plug-in module). The large cans sitting in the metal bracket are usually still good, - it's the ones on the board itself that causes most problems.Martin
Thanks Martin!
Thanks for your advice. I changed the four electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board, but no change unfortunately.
Any more ideas please?
Check the muting signal. The Beomaster will mute when/while sound sources are switched.Perhaps the muting is not working (stuck switch?).Are the amplifiers powered at all? Can you measure the idle currents?
Really appreciate your help, I will check these points.
