I am shocked.How low must a company fall to start manipulating Apple App Store ratings?Instead of investing in the quality of the B&O app, ratings seems to be bought in bulk. Two weeks ago the B&O app had 226 ratings and a score of 2.8 in the German Apple Store. Within 2 weeks the Bang&Olufsen app collected over 1,527 ratings and a grade of 4.0.
I only hope that sales will continue to fall as it has in the last months, because customers are not as stupid as Bang & Olufsen management thinks. And companies with such ethical behaviour should be eliminated from the market!

It is very common for companies to solicit feedback from users. The fact that B&O wasn’t doing it means they were being out competed by Sonos and others who do. If you are an active Sonos users you will be asked to rate. Also, it is not worth the risk to B&O to try to get illegal ratings. Lastly, having used their app, the current version is closer to 4 than 2.8.

We are all entitled to our opinions, views and wishes.Reading through your posts a pattern becomes apparent, and I begin to wonder...This is a Bang & Olufsen enthusiast forum.Do you consider yourself a Bang & Olufsen enthusiast?

I cannot let this slide even though I should.
I'm shocked that write such allegations against us, we would never or have never manipulated the rating of any platform. The answer is very simple, we started asking for ratings and that has given a large group of otherwise silent happy users a chance to rate. 10K 5-star ratings and counting worldwide. How do I know? Well I build the app and added the request for reviews.
You are obviously angry over some issues you are having and I will encourage you to reach out to support to get your issues resolved.

Yes, I am a frustrated user of the Bang&Olufsen app.I am sorry, that I formulated my frustration much too hard. Sorry!
But nevertheless, I am still wondering, how Bang&Olufsen is managing in the German App Store (not world wide) to collect 1.301 ratings within less than two weeks. Bang&Olufsen set back the rating counter to 0 in October 2019 and needed 5 months to collect 288 ratings.
But when these 1.301 new ratings are from really convinced Bang&Olufsen customers, B&O will have a bright future with strong increasing sales.
The way this works is that apple decides if the dialog is shown or not. This way they don't bug users that have already seen it again and again. Since we have never used this feature before a lot of people got this in the first 14 days, it will probably wind down going forward. Being Apple they are a bit closed on how often it is actually shown.
I would like to try to help you in regard to your app issues. May I suggest the following, either write me a personal message in here or reach out to global support. Then I will do my best to try to address your problems.

Mikipidia:To me the app is good now and more or less rated to the correct score imho. It’s very good now compared to a year ago and there is nothing really wrong with it for the majority of users.

I absolutely agree with Razlaw. B and O has a long, honorable and unique tradition. Something to be preserved, not denigrated.
