I have my uncles Beocord 2000 on the bench. It has great sentimental value to him, so I really want to get it going again. The motor is dead (tried tender massage, drop of oil etc.). Where do I find a new one? It says ‘MMI-6A2RK’ on the back.
Could I use the motor from i.e. a Beocord 5500?

No. The autoreverse decks are different.I am sure I can find a good used original motor in the dungeons, and if not I have some of the latest original replacement motors in the drawer.I also have new belts and idler wheel/reel table rubber parts plus a few capacitors that I would recommend you replace in the Dolby circuit.PM or email me.

Martin did (of course) have the correct motor in stock. However, I took the chance on the Beocord 5500. It was 10€ and local to me. Swapped the motors, and now the old Beocord 2000 is playing again. Thanks for your help though, Martin.
