I bought e8 3rd and had no issue for two weeks till now. Beoplay e8 won't connect to the phone/nb/table anymore.

After removing earbuds from the case, white light flashes for 3 sec as usual.

I can see E8 listed in the device BT manager. But the connection fails every time with the message: "could not connect, check the device." I am also missing the media icon used to be beside the e8 name. (Samsung Note 10+).

What I tried:

  1. factory reset: 10s, the red light appears, after a few secs white lights flash on both, and that is all.
  2. beoplay mobile application: it finds the e8 even it's not paired and shows me the serial number. And only 10% battery left = even it's fully charged.
  3. I tried several devices - nb, tablet, phone.

The main issue I can see is that I can not enable pairing mode on earbuds. When I press the buds for 5 seconds - nothing happens. After 10 seconds, it does a factory reset.

How to enable pairing mode?

Beoplay support sent me a great tutorial how to reset and reconnect earbuds.

The factory reset did not work, but once I proceeded with:

In case the left earbud has lost connection to the right, then it needs to be paired to the right master earbud.
Ensure that there are no other Beoplay E8 3rd generation nearby (within 10-20 meters) turn on the unit by tapping on the right one and then touch and hold the touch-field of both the left and right earbud for 30 seconds until the LED indicator flashes green

Pairing mode is available, and earbuds are again visible to all BT devices phone/nb/tablet and I am able to control it.

It seems I have the same issue, did it work for you? I still can’t pair back the two EarPods when I try to hold for 30 seconds it flashs red and not green. Any idea? Thanks

hi hoping somone can help me. i just got my headphones. literally cannot get the e8 to enter pairing mode. it goes from white, 10s later, goes red to show resetting and then to green to show repairing both headphones together. will not go blue to indicate that it can enter pairing mode.

this is the second pair of headphones with the same problem, i had a set of first generation that went through this that B&O kindly replaced with these and i just opened the package to find the same problem. i have no problem pairing any other BT devices, so i'm struggling to see why these seem to be so difficult. if it's a pairing issue i'd be happy to call it user error, however these will not enter pairing mode. please if anyone can assist i'd be appreciative.
