Hi Team,

My BeoCenter 2000 has lost its needle. Wondering how I can get it up and running again? Is there an unofficial  or official part I could replace it with? And do I need to replace the whole stylus or is there a needle that I can purchase and insert?

Regards,

Michael

You have two options;
- Take a chance on a used cartridge.
- Send your cartridge in for retip'ing.

Where are you?

Do you know if it's possible to connect something like an Ortofon stylus to it?

It has been done on tangential decks, but it's not easy. Dimensions, angles, contacts and signal levels are all different.
It would require a complete rebuild of the tonearm and counterweight and some modifications to the preamplifier.
Also keep in mind, that modifications usually affects the value. Bodged B&O is generally worth very little.
