Configuration

Lg Oled 65 2019 with wisa ready , 4 beolab8000 ( 2 fronts, 2 rears) , beolab 2 sub, beolab 10 (central)

I bought axiim link wisa and 6 beolab receiver 1. I connected my lg tv with wisa connection to all the speakers. It works

The sound quality is ok, but when i connect a beosystem the quality sound is much better.

I would like to buy a beosystem 4 and connect it using trasmitter 1 and receivers to speaskers.

the question is :

how can i send sorround input from my Lg Tv to a beosystem 4 ? Is it possible? How is the quality sound?

do you have any other advise?

With either almando or axiim it will obviously sound different as it doesn’t know what speaker are connected (type) and it’s capabilities that are attached to it, as in the speaker profiles. It just takes a, let’s say, bl17 and treats is as a generic speaker. Only b&o has the specific presets preloaded, but with both axiim and almando you can make presets per channel, it’s more work obviously but b&o doesn’t have a 4k capable beosystem atm.

In that way there is little difference between axiim and almando. The axiim looks a lot easier to me though, a mate of mine has done it with axiim and has had great results honestly.

You can only put a monitor screen to the Beosystem 3 or 4. so connect a hdmi -  DVI to system 3 or HDMI - HDMI for montior on system 4.

So only picture will get true there, so you need to connect a google chromecast HD or apple tv true beosystem 3 and 4, use it with puc and control it whole with Beoremote one :)

That will be your best solution.

Cheers, Andreas

On the following Tuesday he will come and install beosystem mk3.

if somebody needs I will make a video I can sent you if you like, and you can post on your YouTube channel or you can use it.

Hi Guys!

This is an interesting thread as I am looking into this as well.

Another related question:

- Are you using two remotes, one for the LG TV and one for the B&O setup?

- I understand there is a B&O app to download from the LG Store to control the LG TV with a BeoremoteOne bluetooth remote, but do you know if it at the same time can handle older B&O kit with IR simultaneously? I heard from a dealer that it takes a lot of "button pressing" to use the BeoremoteOne BT, switching between the LG TV and fx. a BeoCenter sound system..

Any experiences with that?

Thanks

Peter

Another option to the Beosystemwhich my dealer is suggesting is to get the new B&O sound bar. Dealer is saying that I can connect this to any TV thought the Samsung OLED can control through the Beo remotes.. and can connect through to my Beolabs...

haven’t had a chance to go into the dealer with all the COVID lockdowns in place and not sure if all the speakers listed will connect but on the face of it may be a viable alternative?

From what I know it is impossible to send surround audio from an LG TV directly. You have to get an external 5.1 receiver. Here is an option:

1. Get an Apple TV 4K

2. Get an HDMI audio extractor which will split the video from the audio. I have one of these from Monoprice for around $40 and it works well.

3. Feed the audio from the Apple TV to the Beosystem via an optical cable. You should get the full audio stream from Apple TV.

4. Distribute the audio from the Beosystem.

you can hide the Apple TV, extractor and Beosystem for a clean look. I don’t have a Beosystem so just assuming it as an optical input.

Hello Aravind,

I was also thinking that It might be a way to use the new Beosound Stage as a hub/center and then connect my Beolab 8000's and 6000's to get a true surround setup, but my dealer said that this is not possible. Did your dealer say you could connect beolabs through the soundbar Beosound Stage, or did I misunderstand you? Maybe you are referring to another soundbar?

Thanks

Peter

Nope the beosound stage is not compatible like that!!!

Even with the use of a receiver it’ll be a mess because of latency in the Stage(~23meter delay).

Also with anything but an LG screen the remote is not integrateable like you think. You could control the stage but it won’t control the tv, ONLY if you have an LG tv(c9 or above)

Hi, I have been trying to find posts that may explain how to integrate an Oled TV into a Beosystem 3 setup, all I want to do is take away the BV4 50" plasma panel and replace it with a 55" Oled TV, I was looking at the Sony Bravia XR  A90J. (£2,500)

My problem is I am not clued up on the technical side of cables etc. that I assume I will need to make everything to work together,

I have the Overture CD/Radio, DVD 2, Humax DVR Freesat box,  Beo 2 Sub, 8000, 6000 & Beolab 7.2 speakers, I also have the remote wall bracket and the Lutron light panel, at the moment everything works via the Beo5 remote, I also have the Beo 4 remote that can operate most of the system.

So I'm asking for any "detailed" help/information on integrating a good quality 55" Oled  TV to the BS3, the reason I'm looking at a 55" is that firstly its a bigger panel but also it fits pretty exact with the width of the BL 7.2

Thanks in advance for any help you can give
