Hi all,

A couple of days back I have bought a LCS9000 intended to be repaired.

The owner explained the buttons on the unit function correctly but its not selecting a source to play.

After investigation its clear you can only select a source by using a remote control, I have tried using my Beo4 but its not responding to any thing. I opened the unit and see someone has been welding on the "PCB 5, Display, Keyboard and IR Receiver" more specific:

  • D1 (IR receiver)
  • D2 (welded together)
  • C39 (replaced by new component)

By seeing this I wounder if someone knows if the complete print can be re pleased and where to buy?

Further more if anyone would have some knowledge of these components, and has encounter the same issue?

Best Regards,

Willem L.

Hi all,

I have replaced the following components on the "PCB 5, Display, Keyboard and IR Receiver":

  • C18: 22µF 20% 3,6v (as explained in a different tread)
  • and bought IR recivers SFH235

Now this solved the issue for the remote control however still no sound out of any of the inputs:

  • MCL tested with the IPOD/TV/AIRPORT EXPRESS TO BEOLAB 3500 cable from sounds heavenly (also performed the setup accordingly)
  • MCL connected to Beogram CD 4500.
  • ML connected to a Beosystem 3.

But no sound on any input, is there any known failure that could cause this issue?
