Found this interesting link in Google books.
Apparently the early Beolab 5's were only designed to have their microphone room sensor technology work 200 times, on the basis that you would only use it on initial set-up or after moving house etc.
Apparently buyers were so impressed with the technology they couldn't help but keep demonstrating the technology to friends..... until the 200 uses was exceeded and the technology failed.
I wonder how many early Beolab 5's have been a dissappointment because of the technology for room sensing being over-used?

Mine are pretty early ones, and seem to be working just fine. But I'm sure I haven't used the setup even 20 times.
