Hi there,

I want to make a surprise for my sister and change the speaker grill material to brown. Has anybody of you did this? Is this manageable? I have already ordered the material and unscrewed the speaker grills from the Century. The problem I see are the plastics - I cannot figure out how can I split them to get access to the material itself.

Best wishes,

Wasti

Hi Leslie,

I have just read your reply - thank you. I hope it is not to late to ask you for the pictures you might have taken. It would help me a lot, especially as I will get the material in 2-3 days.

Best wishes,

Wasti

Finished the two a few days ago. Thought you were not interested! But I can show you pictures how to disassemble the frets? The rest is quite an easy job.... Let me know!

Yes Leslie, I just need to be guided how the frets can be dismantled as there are a lot of plastic elements and I do not want to break them. Do you do all the refurbishing on the old material, or do you remove it first?

Thank you very much Leslie for the tutorial! Your work looks very clean and done precisely.

I can wait to try it but still waiting for the grill material to come.

Thank you, Leslie - I have managed to do it myself. The fresh grills look great!

Best wishes,

Sebastian

What fabric did you use? It looks so much more durable than the original and MY are you handy.
