Hello, I am new to B & O products and I had to recently install a system. After doing hours and hours of reading, I noticed that even after using the CT Tool 5.12 that the Beolab 12 speakers are not in the product browser so I cannot properly configure the remote. Is a link available for a newer CT Tool version that will have this product in it's browser? Or is there a way to upload the Beolab 12 speakers into the product browser for this current CT Tool version? Can I backup the current settings on the Beo 5 remote? I have two Beo 5 remotes, can I copy the configuration from one onto the other in case I mess up doing the configuration? I know its a lot to ask, especially for a first time poster, but please help.

A Very Warm Welcome to Beoworld..

Attached is a zip file containing the XML and image files needed for the Beolab 12 speaker.

Unzip to C:\ and the files will be placed in the correct directories of the B&O Configuration Tool.

You can download the same configuration to more than one Beo5/6 and you can also save your complete configuration in a .CTX file by using the SAVE button. Your saved configuration will be located in the "Clients" sub-directory and can be re-imported if needed.

When you download a configuration into the Beo5/6 it is serialised in a form that the Beo5/6 processor understands. In other words raw data which is NOT reversable. In other words you CANNOT upload from an already configured Beo5/6 to the B&O Configuration Tool.

As with all user files you should ALWAYS make regular backups in case of problems.

Regards Keith....

Keith,

I would like to thank you for the files and wish you a very happy new year! If I have more questions I will post on this thread. Also, I have found a guide on the configuration tool that is pretty comprehensive. May I post it to share with others? I find it very useful and I believe others will as well. It was made by hfat and I cannot find this guide anywhere anymore. Let me know!

EDIT: Nevermind it says on the bottom of the guide you can get it in the wiki section of the forum.
