Hi all!
I've been replacing caps and trimmers and adjusting a Beomaster 1900 and when I desoldered the R31 trimmer (4,7K Ohms in the schematics) it turned out to be a 25K, and when I measured it the meter said it was set to 13K. Is this normal?

The relevant part of the schematics is included below.
Thanks!

Hej Johan,

R31 doesn´t look like a trimmer to me. Just an ordinary resistor

//Bo.
A long list...

Agree with BO.

I had some resistors and trimmers in my BM 2400, that was different from the drawings, I kept the new ones like they were in the BM.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

Beomaster 1900 came with two different volume control boards.
Early version has 16 volume steps, the later 128 and they are quite different in many ways.

Right! So that's probably it then. The BM2400 manual also shows 4,7K.

Thanks, Martin!

(Of course the schematic symbol is a resistor and not a trimmer, but that doesn't change the fact that I have a trimmer on the board and that it's supposed to be a trimmer, according to the Adjustments part 5-1.)

That' indeed the difference between the 1900/1900-2 and the 2400/2400-2.

The -2 versions had the 128 steps volume control.

Err.. not quite as simple as that (nothing B&O is).
Some Beomaster 1900s has the 128-step volume control and there were other differences as well.
