Hello everyone!
Recently I have bought Beogram 9500 with MMC2 cartridge. Unfortunately, tip is looking poor, heavily worn. Also, it seems that it have suspension problems - sound is distorted, but on tracking force around 1.6 (I know, too much, only for testing and that tip is already gone), when slightly pushing tonearm down, cantilever pops in position and sound is good, without distortion.
Some time later I bought another MMC2 for very reasonable price, promised to be in perfect working condition. Tip on this one looks perfectly, like new. But distortion issue is exactly the same as in old one...
I am attaching position of cantilever photo - it is exactly the same in both cartridges. I have already checked tracking force accuracy with digital weight and numbers on tonearm fits perfectly.
What do you think? Exactly same issue in second cartridge or...? Or what?
Best regards,
Mateusz

The above is a definite symptom of bad suspension. It will be able to do this a couple of times and then it will come right off.Sadly a very common thing to see, fontunately repairable by some of the expert companies specializing in this.

What is the preferred place (in Denmark/Europe) to have an MMC2 cartridge rebuilt - I have one that also distorts heavily so could be the suspension or also the tip itself.
