Hi,
I would like to know if somebody can help me,
i want to open an handset of Beocom 5 to change the battery .
Thank for your reply
Hi
You must remove the small "Bang & Olufsen" logocover. Under this cover you find 2 srews to open the handset.
Have a look inside what battery you need ....

In Germany I pay 75,00 € for a new batterypack with backcover inclusive installation from my dealer.
good luck
Thank you for your reply

Its a 6 step process if you just want to replace the battery:
1) the bottom bezel with the B&O name can be push up, you need a small flat plastic tool to unglue it.
2) below that bezel, there is another flat bezel that also needs to be push up, again a small flat plastic tool can do it
3) on each side there are two small T6 screws that need to be removed
4) You need to lift the keypad but to do so you need to extend a bit each side of the phone to unlock latches both in the middle of the phone and at the top. It's in the service manual available to silver member of this forum.
5) the battery needs to be unplug and forced unglued. Don't fully detach the keypad as the speaker is connected and another cable, just lift it a bit, enough to access the battery.
6) new battery can be put in place and reverse the process.
I used this one https://batteryclerk.ca/products/bang-olufsen-beocom-5-replacement-battery?variant=30722300411971&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=cse&gclid=Cj0KCQjw7pKFBhDUARIsAFUoMDa84rJ-L4u_cqn_yrc0bfdfQbu9HvoR1-uiOvPCfox482nf31r5ZhsaAtUqEALw_wcB&ls=en
Amazon have some, about $20
A 10 min job, being careful when you lift the keypad.
These instructions are provided as is with no responsability from me - hope this helps.
