I hope you could help me out with this.

My BS5 was working fine but since a few days CDs wont play anymore.

When I hit CD on the Beo4 BS5 comes up, Speakers connected to BV10 power on, CD ripper makes some noise and the default cover is displayed with PAUSE at its right side.

In the lower left corner working or auto-rip disabled are showing up.

From that point, I can‘t get the CD to play.

Not with GO, not with <

Only possibility to make it play the CD, is starting a manual rip. After the 1st Track is ripped (+/- 8%) the CD starts playing the 1st Track.

Which settings do I have to check?

Set-up:

BV10 + BL8000 front + BL6000 rear - BM5 connected to BV10 over Masterlink.

BS5/BM5 set to AudioMaster

Beo4 connecting to BS5 over the BV10.

I also have the same problem when powering up using RADIO on the Beo4, this brings a default radio picture with PAUSE at its right.

Which setting do I miss?

regards

hello Gerard,

I can only tell you about my experience with the CD reader/ripper, optional for BS5. I owned one, and I had to replace it three times in warranty (there was no way to extract the CD, once inserted), then I decided to renounce it and ask for the refund of the money paid. Since then, I'm ripping the CD's through the PC.

So my suggestion is to not waste time with it; is too bad

Thanks for your help Edouardo,

disconnecting all the cables inside BS5 and on BM5 , then reconnecting everything helped.

But may I ask you an other question?

As you owned the ripper during the period where the ripps got taged by the BS5, could you send me some music files which were tagged by the BS5 system?

I want to check which tags were written .

Thank you ,

regards

Gerard
