Hi,

A couple of days ago I kept getting "Hmm there seems to be a problem" or "There is a glitch" responses when asking "hey google..." on my Beosound 2.  It has been working perfectly and there have been no issue with this or any of the other speakers,  plugs etc.

I have reset it and it said the same when it came back online.  this time I used the reset button and went through the steps to set it up again.  It has added to my google home app and the B&O app and I can control it though both.  It wont however take voice commands.  It says 'your device isn't set up yet,  download the google home app"

The software is up to date so I am at a loos at what to try next.  I wonder whether there was a issue with the latest software which I downloaded about a week ago and whether this has affected it in some way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

My BS2 has just started having the exact same issue. I am/was gong to try a factory reset on it tomorrow but based on your experience suspect this isn’t going to work.

mine is running s/w version 1.5.37393.

I think this is a problem with the Google account. But problem with Google is not easy work around or information anyware at google, and it seems they have poor support to Get help with your account.

If other know the solution, i think it is many out there that have same problem.

Its hard When its no place to Get help from Google..

And in this thread people have same problem with other Google device, also Google own product.

so i feel this is a Google problem, but problem with Google is they dont have any help to talk with them.. seems they make a product but dont care off the after support..

Schame of Google. If anyone her know how to fix i think alot off Google produkt  will work again

This is a Google problem and the forums are full of this - often with Google’s own speakers. One option is to create another Google Account if you can’t fix it through the app. Google support is what you can find on the internet. On my BS 1, I don’t use the GVA so not an issue thankfully.

I have the same issue. Over the last week or so I was getting a “there is a glitch” message when I used voice commands. Rebooting the speaker did not help, so yesterday I did a factory reset and am now getting the message that “your device isn't set up yet, to get started download the google home app.” I spoke with a B & O customer support person and he said  it’s a Google problem and they are working with Google on a fix. Of course, I have no way of knowing if any of this is true.

Below is an update I received from B&O. It’s a Google backend problem. And if you have ever dealt with Google, you know their customer support is nonexistent. I hope B&O has the clout to light a fire under Google to resolve this issue quickly.

“We just heard back from our technical team at headquarters and were informed that we have been in contact with Google to have this issue resolved as soon as possible. It seems that the issue is caused by a problem in the Google backend that has hit not all, but multiple of our Google Assistant support products. This issue has the highest priority for us and Google and we are doing everything we can to resolve the problem as fast as possible (sadly no timeframe is available for the update/fix). We are awaiting Google's actions to resolve the problem as of now. We are unable to resolve the problem ourselves as it lies in their backend, but we are doing everything we can to support their work on resolving the issue. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”

It’s working again for me! The Google Home app is still giving me the message “unable to update device settings” but that doesn’t appear to affect my ability to run all the app routines I had previously setup.

I’ve recently received an email from B&O support stating that the issue has been resolved (no details as to whether this was by Google or B&O), with the resolution to unplug and power on the BeoSound2 again. This has worked for me and I’ve not had any issues since doing so since Thursday.

Hope this helps,

Matt
