Hello All.
Hope you're well and keeping safe.
I have 2 separate (I think) issues which I am reaching out for help and suggestions on.
See diagram.
1. I am not getting any sound from the Beolab 10. I tried to remove the Beolab 10 to double check the cable (although it was working when it was installed) but the speaker only come out an inch or so before hitting the frame of the TV and I can't take the TV off the wall as it is so huge and heavy. The Centre PL cable is plugged into the Beosystem 3 and all of the other speakers (the Beolab 8000's, 6000's and 2 are working fine)
2. The sound coming out of the both of the Beolab 2500 speakers is terrible. Low volume and very bad quality. I have done the following steps:
a. I connected the Beolab 8000's to the Beosound 3200 and the sound is fine. So I think the issue is not the 3200
b. I have tried the Beolab 2000 and the sound is fine there.. both when the Beolab 2500's are turned on or off
c. I have one cable (not B&O but looks like the PL ones built into the 3200 bracket; 5 pins) and connected each Beolab 2500 with the spare cable in turn but no sound at all came from using that cable. I don't know if that is because the spare cable is faulty or is not compatible despite looking the part
d. I tried to figure a way to connect the Beolab 2500's speakers to a different source to see if they sound OK but I didn't find a way.. only other B&O source I have is the Beovision 4-65 but Beolab 2500 are not an option on the TV sound configuration menu (and I don't have long enough cables to connect the Beolab 2500's to the Beosystem 3).
If anyone can suggest trouble shooting steps to either of my problems, I would be grateful. I can't call a B&O service person currently because of the lock down and also because I am having fun trying to sort this out myself.
Thanks.
Ayman.
In the beosystem 3, when you are in the speaker setup menu, a white noise is played in each chennel while you are configuring it.
Do you hear the white noise when centre channel is selected?
Hello Dante. I hear the white noise for all of the speakers except for the Beolab 10. Also no noise if I select different speaker models in that central speaker channel.
Are you sure that you use PowerLink cables for the BL2500....and for the BL10 for that matter?
They look like these:

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hello.. cables for 2500's is 5 pin (built into the Beosound 3200 bracket) and for the Beolab 10 is 8 pin.
accessed the service manual for the speaker. I have opened up the speaker. Following the troubleshooting instructions, from the service manual I am at this stage,:
"Connect an audio source to the speaker. Confirm voltage on PCB04, Main P10 pin 5 = approx 2.8 V D.C". Please see attached, I can see the PCB04 module and the P10 terminal but I don't understand where I measure the voltage across.. pin 5 and what?
And this
