Hello,

I have a Beocom 6000 MK1 which I got from my Dad. I deleted the handset and tried registering it again to the base but it is requesting a PIN code, having found out the hard way this means that the base has reached its maximum of 6 handsets and there is no way to reset the base, it is basically locked.

Unfortunately there are no service centers in Lebanon and I have searched everywhere on how to reset the phone but no luck. This phone has been in my family for the past 20 years and I really want to make it work again.

Is there any way I could reset the base myself without the hassle of sending it?

Hi and welcome to Beoworld!

Have you tried the default pin code of 0 0 0 0?

Have you removed the handset from the base or just did handset reset?

If handset reset itself, then the handset still exists in the base, occupying space and you can’t add more handsets if you’ve reached 6. Deleting handsets from the base can only be done by: registered handset or B&O technician service tool + special cables.

I believe handset reset. So I do not have any options if there are no service centers around?

No, unless you have one of the handsets, which has been registered “inside” ( not the one which has been reset ).

There is only two ways to reset the base either via a connected phone or using the B&O service tool and application which connects to the base without a phone.

You are correct that if it asks for a pin code then you have six handsets registered to the base.

Whenever you wish to remove a handset from the base you must unregister it.

I am assuming you do not have other handsets still registered to this base?

I'm guessing that the handset itself was reset many times before instead of being unregistered because it is the same handset since the phone system was bought and the only one in the house.

So there aren't any handsets registered before that I can use to reset the base.

The service tool + cables is the only option.
