Hi all

I'm a total newbie to this forum and any forums for that matter! I've just got my beosystem 5500 up and running with a restored stylus and have discovered that the speed on the turntable is quite slow. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

Any help would be most appreciated!

Cheers

Lift off the platter and you'll find two adjujstment trimmers at the front left, one for 33RPM and one for 45RPM.
They usually require no adjusting, so if this is needed then;
- The belt is wrong/too tight (I can supply correct belts)
- The speed setting trimmer is bad
- The motor runs rough due to dried oil
- Someone before you messed with the adjustment.
- Any combination of the above

Thanks a lot for your quick response!

Sounds like I should find somewhere locally to service it!
