Hi every one,

I have a motorized wall mount from previous Beovision 7, Beolab 7, Beolab 4000, Beosound 3200, Beolab 2 subwoofer, Beolink active. I would like to keep all the things in a new setup as far as possible.

I am therefore looking for some expertise for the following setup - See picture

It would help to know which products are in which room and what content you want to share between rooms. There are some simple solutions available (e.g. adding Axiim Link Wisa dongle to the TV) but then it is important to know how the Core and BeoSound work together in your current setup to see how you can play the content from Core/BeoSound on the surround system.

Hi,

Thank you for your respons :)

All the components are in the same room. I tried to visualize it on the attached picture.

I would like a solution where the TV can play surround sound with Beolab 18, Beolab 2, Beolab 7 and Beolab 20 when watching TV. Then I would like Beolab 4000, Beolink active and Beosound 3200 to be able to play music both alone and together with the TV room when I have guests. It should be possible to switch the Beolab 4000 on and off.

I don't have Core right now, which is why I wondered which setup will be most optimal and if it is possible at all.

Only soltion I see for time being is to use a BeoSystem 3.

There are some thread here, where it is described how to set it up.

1: Using the LG-tv as a monitor and have all sources in or connected to the BSys3.

2: Using the internal sources of the  LG-tv as well as the sources of the BSys3.

You can then use the existing ML cabling for integrating/linking that with the 3200 and the linkroom/BL4000.

If you connect the Core to the Aux-in of the 3200 you can distribute whatever that plays over the MasterLink.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I agree. A Beosystem 3 would be your best bet. However, you could potentially add the Core to add AirPlay 2/ Chromecast  streaming if you like to the mix if there is a way to add the Core to your BeoSystem 3 via an Optical cable. That way, you don't need to turn on the TV to listen to Music. May be the Beosystem 3 already does it (I don't have experience with it) so you don't need a Core. I use a Core because I have beolabs connected to an LG Projector and to listen to music I can stream to the Core, the Projector/TV in this case inputs to the Core.

B&O in my life 😊:

  • Beolab 8002 + Beolab 2 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Office)
  • Beolab 6000 + Beolab 11 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Bedroom)
  • Beoplay A9 Mk2 (Living Room)
  • Beosound 1 with wireless dock (Portable)
  • Beosound Balance (Dining)
  • Beoplay H95 (Focused listening, travel)
  • Beoplay H9 (3rd gen) (retired)
  • Beoplay P6 (Portable)
  • Beotime wall clock (hallway entrance)
  • BMW X5 50i with B&O Audio Package (Commute/drive)

Hi,

with a special PUC it's possible to use all sources from the LG TV with sound from BS3 and control the LG TV with Beo4.

Speakers all connected to BS3. Coax converter from LG TV to BS3 for sound.
Sound configuration from LG TV to optical.

Display1 from BS3 to LG HDMI1.
IR 1+2 from BS3 connect to LG TV and PUC's for controlling and power TV on/off from BS3. (Adapter needed)

Internal TV from the BS3 disable, and you could use the LG TV with Beo4 by using TV.

In my setup i'm using a Samsung TV with similar configuration and PUC for Samsung 4K TV.

Example, yellow key from Beo4 = source from Samsung TV.

Switching to HDMI1 from LG offers all settings and sources from BS3.

And motirized Stand testet with an motorized Stand from Beovision-7.

It works.

Regards

My B&O is B&O.

Thank you for the solution :)

I have three more questions

1.  How do I controll the motorized wall bracket with the LG C9 TV?

2.  Can i play music without turning on the TV with this solution?

3.  Are cable connections better than wireless connection to the speakers? And if it is the same, can I cable the speakers which need it and the other go wireless?

I also think, that Beosystem 3 is one of the best choices for that situation. I would choose it for sure. But anyway, if you think about getting a separate av receiver, here is a list of av receiver under 1000 bucks ( website: https://chooserator.com/best-av-receiver-under-1000 ), where I found mine Denon AVR-X2600H, and purchased it. It wins in comparison with other models, I think.
